As Christmas season approaches and we reflect on what it means; Matthew house prepares for their annual Desert Gala Fundraiser and Silent Auction and You are Invited.
A Time To Enjoy
Come and enjoy stories, photos and dancers from Rwanda, that capture the heartbeat of Matthew House as we welcome newly arrived refugees in downtown Toronto. Listen as some of our refugees tell their story. Pick up some great things in our silent auction including Toronto Maple Leaf tickets, Raptors tickets, gift certificates for restaurants, massage, a spa, Authentic African Artifacts and Jembe drums. Enjoy the company of the people who make Matthew house what it is; our refugees, our staff, our volunteers, our supporters and our board.

With no direct Government funding Matthew House relies on the support of individuals with heart. Our fundraisers are used to cover the everyday expenses in our ongoing support of refugees.
Matthew House is a small shelter for refugees in down town Toronto that welcomes refugees who arrive with nothing but the shirt on their backs and no where to turn. You may have heard me talking about it, sharing some of the amazing stories. Our core value is to offer ‘a place of hope at the end of the Refugee Highway', by offering shelter and food, help completing confusing refugee application papers, medical and counseling referrals, orientation to life in Canada, assistance in finding apartments, offering monthly drop-ins, and summer camp.

Hi Lottie - It is a great cause and has recieved the support of our Realtors Care Foundation in the past.
Dagny - they have arrived at our door from over 75 different countries ..... where they come from depends on what is happening in the world at any given time.
